Coarse Material Screw Washers

Coarse Material Screws are used to remove soluble clay, dirt and floating vegetation from crushed rock and gravel ranging in size from 3/8” to 4” (9.5 mm- 101 mm), that can’t be removed by wet screening alone. The rising current water combined with aggressive washing action of the paddles, causes the material to separate with the lighter material rising to the surface and overflowing at the back of the weir and the clean material being conveyed up the slope and discharged from the bottom of the washer box.
